CASE STUDY
2544 GC Highway Reroof
Airey Building Group completed a major roofing and external façade upgrade across multiple adjoining commercial tenancies at 2544–2546 Gold Coast Highway, Mermaid Beach.
The project involved the controlled removal and disposal of existing asbestos-containing roof sheets, flashings and sections of external wall cladding. New framing was installed to support upgraded box gutters, roofing and façade elements.
The works included:
- New Colourbond corrugated roofing and flashings
- Anti-condensation roof blanket
- New box gutters, rainheads and drainage fittings
- Custom Orb cladding to the rear sawtooth roof and external walls
- Twelve new fixed-panel aluminium windows with grey glazing
- Scaffolding, edge protection and council footpath closure approvals
- Coordination of licensed asbestos-removal contractors
With several businesses operating from the property, the project was carefully staged across each tenancy to minimise disruption and maintain safe access to the surrounding areas.
